a community growing strong

Shop Local * Eat Local * Spend Local & Enjoy Local

Did you see what the wind blew in Saturday!  The Streator Chamber's Fall Crawl and discounted Streator Chamber Bucks.

If you weren't able to participate you missed a great opportunity to support Streator's small businesses and to receive community warmth and good will.  Recognizing "social distancing" was honored and  wasn't an issue and our town was once again "hopping" with energy and enthusiasm.

The "Crawl" was the brain-thrust of Rhonda Eilts of Villas of Holly Brook and State Farm Rep Theresa Solon proved to be a positive....food, music, drinks, door prizes and discounted purchases was available to shoppers from Streator and visiting towns of Dwight, Wenona, Pontiac, Ottawa, Sheridan, Ransom, Leonore and Lostant.  Our 50/50 contest winner was Sharon Rowe, with proceeds to be directed to the Christmas Close to Home committee.

Also, the Chamber had the opportunity to introduce this year's Chamber Bucks.  Bills of $20, $50 and $100 can be purchased at 80% of the face and used at over 30 identified local locations at 100% of the bill.  A great way to identify your own reward.  Supplies are limited and have a maturity date of April 2021.  Stop in at your Chamber office, 320 E. Main St. to purchase yours and support "Our Town".

Thank you to all who participated in the "Fall Crawl" - You Done Good!
